Hot, hot and hotter brings burn ban

The Arbuckle Lake area is under a burn ban until the begining of August.   The lake is lower than normal which on the bright side means you can walk the shore line with ease.  On the negative side it means be careful when boating.  Also, one of our guests used the small Eagle Bay boat ramp this weekend.  It was so low that you have to more or less go past the edge of the concrete to hit deep enough water to launch your boat.  In doing so their trailer became damaged when they tried to pull out.

The other bright spot is the birds.  The area is full of natural habitat but I seem to see more birds-maybe they are looking for some water.

The weather is predicted to stay above 100 for the next week at least.  Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen and keep up the fluids.

It is a lovely day.  I write this as I sit enjoying the morning overlooking the lake from our Point Breeze property.  Check us out at http://www.arbuckleparadise.com/

If you have a large group looking for a gathering.  We have the last two weekends of July open.  You can see more information about the lodge at http://www.arborbreeze.com/  I have been told by our guests that our pictures don't do it justice.   The lodge can handle a crowd with ease.
